DeKalb Medical Addressing Nursing Shortage

Nursing shortage

In order to secure more permanent, fulltime nurses, DeKalb Medical is implementing an aggressive recruitment campaign. Our goal is to recruit 200 full-time nurses by the end of the fiscal year.

Moving forward, each nursing department will have two recruiters, an assigned nurse recruiter as well as an Allied Health/Support Services recruiter. We are employing this two-pronged recruitment strategy and if applicable, for each department without losing recruiting efforts on the support staff.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to hire and retain qualified staff for DeKalb Medical.
